Linette Garcia is a certified and licensed speech language pathologist who is bilingual in Spanish. She earned her undergraduate degrees from the University of Central Florida in the fields of Psychology and Communication Sciences and Disorders. Upon returning to South Florida, she became licensed as a speech language pathologist assistant while completing her master’s degree. In 2011, Linette graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Linette began her career working as a contracted employee with the Palm Beach and Broward County Public School districts. She has worked in a variety of school settings providing speech and language services to students with varying disabilities.
In addition, Linette continues to work in diverse settings including private clinics, schools, and in home health care. Although she is experienced working with various disorders, she most enjoys assessing and treating individuals on the autism spectrum.
Currently, Linette is working within the Broward County School District in an ACCESS program. This program assists young adults with autism spectrum disorders and cognitive disabilities in learning the communication and social skills needed to gain employment. Here at the Social Mind Center, Linette provides social skills therapy in a small group setting to children faced with social learning challenges. Linette is a dedicated therapist and is committed to go above and beyond what is necessary to ensure each patient reaches their full potential.
