Samantha Salver
LCSW
Samantha Salver, also known as Ms. Sam, has been part of the SMC therapist team for over eight years, leading social communication groups and providing individual therapy to teens and college students. With a Master’s in Social Work from Barry University, Samantha Salver has helped many young people with learning and developmental differences. For over a decade, she has worked with a wide range of learning differences from children on the autism spectrum to young adults with cerebral palsy. Many of her clients have had undiagnosed learning differences. Having grown up with Dyslexia, Samantha recognizes the sensitivity that accompanies her work. She, too, needed aid in discovering a learning style that worked for her, and once she did, she was able to achieve goals she set for herself and further her education. Her passion now lies in creating this same success for other young people in her practice at the Social Mind Center.
Through observation, testing, and data collection, Samantha identifies strengths in her clients in order to build a lifestyle that will aid them in excelling in their future. Samantha creates unique interventions with clients and their caregivers until they discover the system that works for the individual. Having learning or developmental differences presents challenges to everyone in the child's or adult's life. With Samantha’s coaching, strategies, and systems can help to support equipping the whole family, teachers, and therapists. We believe in looking at the whole system, and sometimes it is the little changes that can make the most difference.
