ONE- ON- ONE

The Center offers interventions that focus on the individual needs of a child. Following assessment a specific goal plan is developed and recommendations for weekly intervention are given.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

Focus: Individualized intervention and training to address behavioral challenges that impact learning and building relationships. Focuses on solutions, encouraging clients to challenge thoughts and perceptions that influence behavior.

Sessions: 1 to 2 a week/45 minutes to an hour 


Counseling

  • Sessions with Samantha Salver -LCSW

    Focus:  Samantha Salver has a Master’s in Social Work. Her niche is middle/high school age, as well as young adults who want to improve their social skills and communication. Samantha also provides Family therapy, helping families improve communication and understanding during the teen and young adult years.

    Individualized intervention and training to address challenges that impact learning and building relationships. Focuses on solutions, encouraging clients to challenge thoughts and perceptions that influence behavior. Samantha’s philosophy is to foster the child’s strengths to help overcome weaknesses. The word impossible is NOT part of her vocabulary.

    Solutions: Increase achievement by assessing barriers to learning:

    • Determining the best instructional strategies to improve learning

    Promote wellness and resilience by reinforcing:

    • coping and anxiety management

    • communication

    • social skills

    • problem-solving

    • anger management

    • self-regulation

    • self-advocacy and self-management

    • self-determination and optimism

    Independent living instruction:

    • college readiness

    • employment preparedness

    Sessions: 30 and 50-minute sessions via telehealth or in-person

    Cost: 50-minute session $165.00
